Reflection on the Remote Control.

After writing the previous post, i though that i was just criticizing without trying to see if people had a choice, if there was a way to do things better. And since democracy is the "least bad system" we currently have, the elections are the only mean to change a country over time.
Unfortunately, in the past years, come election time, very rare were the times when people could choose someone outside the current leaders, if ever.
That gave me an idea, we (people fed up with ALL the current lebanese politicians (not ALL but one, the one i like, but plainly and simply ALL of them, since many people I talked to, agree with me, up to the point where i criticize their leader and then they'd go: no, he's the only "good" one! -sorry for the long intervention-) should create a group of people, that would present itself come elections time, in EVERY district of Lebanon. These people should be independent and willing to criticize ALL sides when they are mistaken and support ALL sides when they are right and, most importantly, provide a change, another choice.
I am quite realistic, and I know that this idea would be a total electoral failure. However, winning the elections is not the point, it's giving an alternative, ANY alternative that is.
Money can be raised by hosting events for people that truly want a change in order to able to participate in the election.
The idea is inserting the concept of a choice in Lebanon, this way no one could argue anymore: but what do we do, we don't have a choice.
I believe in giving people the benefice of doubt, I hear many people saying we hate all lebanese leaders (just check how many groups or variants of this topic exist on facebook) but we can't do a thing about it, we don't have any other option. Well let's create it, and if we still vote for the old dysfunctional persons, we will only have ourselves to blame next time "war" is around.
